And what came out…

…must go back in (just a few miles down the road). And if parking a lorry across the road had gone unremarked…
Stuart’s delicate elevation of 3 tons of printing press attracted a small but welcoming crowd
And with Giles’s careful manipulation
(helped by the removal of a window!)
All four feet on the ground again,
Thank you to Giles Hovendon and Stuart Harwood of AMR for doing the move. www.amremoval.co.uk
This is a rather elaborate and lavishly illustrated way of saying that, having had to move premises from our previous workshop we have, by great good fortune, found a lovely new place to work, just 9 miles down the road. The Belford Craft Gallery sits in the Market Place in the small town of Belford, just off the A1, and over the last 30 years established itself as a landmark on the local arts and craft scene. Though we will be transforming the use into more of a working studio, housing Vincent’s specialist framing and paper conservation services, the double shopfront and gallery space where the presses are now located provide a marvellous opportunity for exhibiting artworks and also, hopefully, a selection of artists books. An upcoming exhibition deadline mean that our plans for a grand opening are somewhat delayed for the time being but watch this space…
Know the gallery from way past, you have found a great new place to work, you’re right. Really pleased for you both.
